Kepiting Asam Manis cak gundul, Resto kepiting asal Pandaan, Pasuruan ini memang sudah tersohor diantara pencinta kepiting. Bumbu yang royal plus daging kepiting yang tebal dan fresh ini rasanya dahsyat abis! Tak heran jika kepiting asam manis ini jadi rebutan saat disantap beramai-ramai.

Awalnya saya tahu tentang kedahasyatan kepiting Cak Gundul ini dari seorang teman. "Pokoknya jangan ngaku penggemar kepiting kalau belum cobain Cak Gundul," ujarnya mengompori via telepon. Sayangnya saya sendiri belum kesampaian untuk mencicipi kepiting Cak Gundul ini langsung di tempat asalnya. Tetapi untunglah tak lama Cak Gundul kemudian melebarkan sayapnya ke Surabaya hingga kini hadir di Jakarta.

Seingat saya Cak Gundul pertama kali membuka resto yang terletak di Jl. Boulevard Raya, Kelapa Gading ini sekitar tahun 1997 lalu. Letak restoran ini memang agak sedikit 'ngumpet' dari keramaian, apalagi saat malam hari.

Jika mampir kesini, kemudikan saja kendaraan menuju arah Mall Kelapa Gading dan lurus hingga menemukan lampu merah. Lalu tinggal amati jejeran ruko-ruko yang berada di sebelah kiri jalan. Ukuran banner besar bergambar kepiting dijamin memudahkan Anda menemukannya.

Resto Cak Gundul menempati sebuah ruko berlantai 3, namun hanya lantai satu dan dua yang dijadikan area bersantap. Saya dan seorang teman yang juga pencinta 'si capit' ini akhirnya memilih duduk di area luar restoran. Area luar restoran sendiri terdiri dari meja panjang alumunium dan bangku-bangku plastik.

Sesuai namanya 'Kepiting Cak Gundul', menu yang ditawarkan resto yang exist sejak tahun 1992 ini memang sebagian besar kepiting. Sedangkan Cak Gundul sendiri diambil dari si empunya yang konon berkepala gundul.

Ada bermacam-macam kepiting yang ditawarkan disini, mulai dari yang paling besar yaitu Jumbo, Super 1, KW2, atau Super 2 yang dibandrol mulai harga Rp 105.000 - Rp 130.000,00/kg. Menurut sang pelayan, harga tersebut dibedakan berdasarkan ukurannya. Untuk hidangannya sendiri dapat diolah menjadi asam manis, kare, mentega, rebus, atau bumbu.

Jika tidak suka kepiting, resto ini juga menyediakan menu lainnya seperti cumi, udang, dan ikan. Pilihan kami jatuh pada Kepiting asam manis dengan ukuran Super 1. Menurut sang pelayan ukuran ini lumayan besar dan kenyang untuk dimakan berdua. Kemudian ditambahlah udang goreng mentega dan cah kangkung agar makan malam kami makin komplet.

Sambil menunggu hidangan tiba, kami pun disajikan hiburan gratis. Ya, dapur yang berkonsep open kitchen ini membuat kami bisa menikmati aksi para koki meracik hidangan. Kepitingnya langsung diambil dari box dalam keadaan mengeliat alias masih dalam keadaan hidup.

Tak lama sepiring besar hidangan kepiting tiba bersama seporsi udang goreng mentega dan cah kangkung. Sebagai pelengkapnya ada sambal plus lalapan, nasi putih, dan keranjang kecil untuk menaruh sisa cangkang kepiting.

Kepiting asam manis yang kami pesan tampil menggiurkan disiram saus asam manis yang royal. Hmm... tak heran kalau air liur kami hampir saja menetes slurppp...

Tanpa menunggu lama, si kepiting pun langsung menjadi rebutan. Seporsi hidangan ini terdiri atas dua ekor kepiting dan masing-masing dipotong menjadi dua bagian. Ukurannya yang besar terlihat montok menggoda... menyatu dengan saus asam manis yang agak kental berwarna oranye kemerahan.

Saat mendarat di lidah, woww... padat dan kenyalnya daging kepiting yang fresh ini membuat lidah bergoyang. Hmm... jejak asam manisnya juga sangat pas dilidah. Uenak rekk!

Favorit saya ketika menyantap Kepiting Cak Gundul ini adalah capitnya yang gemuk. Tak heran kalau salah satu bagian kepiting ini selalu menjadi incaran. Si capit kali ini sudah dimemarkan terlebih dahulu, sehingga kami tidak begitu kerepotan saat menyantapnya. Dagingnya sangat tebal... rasanya nendang abis!

Keasyikan membedah si kepiting membuat kami hampir melupakan udang goreng mentega dan cah kangkung yang menganggur. Kalau udangnya sendiri berukuran sedang. Digoreng komplet dengan kulit dan kepala serta tampil dalam rendaman saus kecokelatan yang tak kalah royal. Rasa udangnya fresh dan manis, paling enak dilahap bersama nasi hangat dan cah kangkung yang krenyes-krenyes.

Nah, untuk menikmati seporsi Kepiting Asam Manis Super 1 ini dibandrol dengan harga Rp 115.000,00/kg dengan isi 2 ekor kepiting. Udang goreng mentega Rp 26.000,00/porsi dan Rp 10.000,00 untuk cah kangkung. Menurut saya harga tersebut cukup pantas dengan hidangan yang ditawarkan. Bagi yang suka seafood, jangan mengaku pencinta kepiting kalau belum ke Cak Gundul!

Gempa 7,1 SR Guncang Alaska, Berpotensi Tsunami

Sebuah gempa berkekuatan cukup besar, 7,1 Skala Richter (SR) mengguncang Kepulauan Alaska. USGS memberi peringatan, gempa ini mampu menimbulkan gelombang tsunami.

Dilansir dari Reuters, Jumat (2/9/2011), pusat gempa ini berada pada kedalaman 35,5 Km. Posisinya berada di 45 Km sebelah Amukta Island, Alaska.

Peringatan gempa ini ditujukan kepada daerah-daerah pesisir Alaska, Alaska Amchitka Pass, Alaska dan Pantai Barat.

Gempa 6.8 SR Guncang Jepang, Peringatan Tsunami Dicabut

Tokyo - Gempa bumi kembali terjadi di Jepang. Namun peringatan tsunami yang semula dikeluarkan Badan Meteorologi Jepang kini telah dicabut.

Demikian disampaikan badan tersebut seperti dilansir kantor berita AFP, Jumat (19/8/2011).

Gempa berkekuatan 6,8 Skala Richter (SR) mengguncang pantai timur laut Jepang hari ini. Gempa tersebut sempat membuat gedung-gedung di Tokyo berayun. Gempa berpusat di pantai Pasifik dengan kedalaman 20 kilometer.

Belum ada laporan mengenai kerusakan akibat gempa yang terjadi sekitar 80 kilometer sebelah tenggara prefektur Miyagi, tak jauh dari pusat gempa dahsyat berkekuatan 9 SR yang mengguncang 11 Maret lalu.

Lembaga Pusat Peringatan Tsunami Pasifik menyatakan, tak ada ancaman tsunami luas di wilayah Samudera Pasifik. Namun sebelumnya, Badan Meteorologi Jepang mengingatkan, gelombang setinggi 50 centimeter bisa melanda daerah-daerah sekitar pantai yang terkena bencana tsunami 11 Maret lalu, termasuk daerah di mana PLTN Fukushima Daiichi berlokasi. Namun kini peringatan tsunami itu telah dicabut.

PM Jepang Noda mendapatkan ucapan dari Barack Obama
